Maria Consuelo “Ningning” Doble is the Founding President of LINKS Building Bridges for Children Inc. With over 24 years of experience in education governance, she has worked closely with local governments, mayors, the private sector and local community leaders to improve learning outcomes. Under her leadership, LINKS has built 21 innovative libraries and implemented the award-winning Hooked on Books (HOB) Library and Reading Program in public elementary schools. She is a passionate volunteer for 15 years and a researcher whose study on education reform has been recognized internationally, including a presentation at the International Children and Childhood Conference in the UK. As a changemaker, she continues to mobilize volunteers, engage stakeholders, and create sustainable solutions to the country’s education crisis.

Eli Ituriaga

A mural artist and dedicated volunteer, Elizardo “Eli” Ituriaga has been with LINKS since its first HOB Library, bringing creativity and leadership to the organization. As a board member, he plays a crucial role in volunteer management, recruitment, and artistic contributions, ensuring that LINKS’ libraries are not only functional but also visually inspiring. His deep connection with the community and fellow artists makes him an invaluable asset in strengthening LINKS’ outreach programs.

Geomel Jetonzo

Fondly known as "Jett," Geomel P. Jetonzo is a visionary leader in education and the driving force behind the Brigada Pagbasa Program, a national movement uniting education partners to bridge the literacy gap in the Philippines. As the Education Technical Program Manager at World Vision Development Foundation, he spearheads transformative initiatives in early childhood education, reading remediation, digital learning, alternative learning systems, and youth development. With a career spanning both academia and student affairs, he has mentored young leaders at De La Salle University and Ateneo de Manila University, fostering a strong commitment to literacy and community engagement. A recipient of the prestigious Gawad Lasalyano Award, Jett is widely recognized for his leadership, dedication to community service, and passion for education. As a LINKS board member, he plays a crucial role in strengthening partnerships, shaping programs, and advancing advocacy efforts to expand literacy initiatives. His expertise and network help mobilize support, create meaningful collaborations, and provide Filipino children with greater access to quality education.

Douglas Inness

Douglas Inness

As the Scotland Coordinator, Douglas Inness has played a crucial role in sending over a thousand boxes of books from Scotland to the Philippines since LINKS' inception in 2016. His tireless efforts have been instrumental in establishing libraries in public schools across the country, enhancing literacy and providing essential learning opportunities for countless students. Known affectionately as the “Santa” of LINKS, Douglas has also spearheaded fundraising initiatives, collecting books and donations to ensure Filipino children have access to valuable reading materials. A dedicated educator and advocate for community development, he has shared his expertise at events like the CSR INSIGHTS conference, showcasing the impact of collaborative efforts in advancing education. Through his commitment, Douglas continues to expand LINKS' reach, demonstrating the power of international partnerships in fostering literacy and learning.

Jobet Calaquian

A leader in the printing industry, Alberto Antonio “Jobet” S. Calaquian Jr. first connected with LINKS during the creation of the 9th Hooked on Books (HOB) Library and was inspired by the organization’s mission and teamwork. As the President of Primex Printers Inc. and former President of the Philippine Center for Print Excellence Foundation (PCPEF), he has played a vital role in mobilizing resources, volunteers, and corporate support to expand LINKS' reach. His leadership has helped establish HOB libraries, particularly in San Gabriel, La Union, benefiting underprivileged children and their communities. Beyond financial contributions, he provides strategic insights into Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, strengthening LINKS' engagement with businesses. Now based in the U.S., he continues to be an active board member, leveraging his network and expertise to sustain and grow LINKS' impact.

Sel Dulnuan

A talented fine arts graduate, Silvino “Sel” Dulnuan started as the lead artist for LINKS’ mural projects before becoming a board member. Passionate about using art for social good, he contributes his expertise in visual storytelling and design, shaping the artistic direction of LINKS’ library murals and community engagement efforts. His creative vision continues to inspire both volunteers and children, making literacy more engaging through vibrant, educational spaces.

Atty. Victor A. Yu, CPA

Atty. Victor A. Yu, CPA

Trustee

An attorney, certified public accountant, and entrepreneur, Victor Yu has been a dedicated supporter of LINKS since 2022. He initially contributed through small donations before officially joining the board, where he now plays a key role in strengthening the organization’s financial sustainability and governance. With over three decades of experience in both the private and public sectors, Mr. Yu brings valuable expertise in law, finance, and business, helping LINKS navigate legal and operational challenges to ensure its long-term impact on child literacy. Beyond his professional insights, Mr. Yu extends his network of like-minded individuals and organizations that advocate for education and share LINKS’ vision of providing Filipino children with a brighter future. His commitment and strategic guidance continue to support the organization’s mission of transforming lives through literacy.
